The Time Capsule - Photographs

A Day Out 1939

This photo was taken on August 27th 1939 - week before outbreak of  WW2

Two girls walking along the sea front, one in a black dress and one in a white dress with black buttons.
Mary 21 and me at 18 yrs old.

We had been to a Tea Dance at the Pavilion -( in the background-) and were on our way to Rest Bay to grab some sunshine - completely unaware of the way our lives would be dramatically  changed  the following week.
