Welcome to Age Concern’s Time Capsule website

The internet isn’t just about browsing, you can contribute too. In conjunction with Age Concern’s annual Silver Surfers Festival, the Time Capsule website enables people to leave a legacy for the future while learning how to use the internet. The Time Capsule gives you the opportunity to reminisce with your contemporaries, and pass down memories from generation to generation.

We are currently working on updating this site to make it easier for you to contribute your stories and photos. While this work is taking place we cannot accept any new submissions. What’s inside?

Artefacts of all kinds from the past one hundred years. These could include stories about key events, recipes, photographs, songs, old objects that remind you of a time and a place. With memories from the four corners of the globe, what’s inside is limited only by your imagination!

How does it work?

Browse you way through the decades from the home page and you can read other people’s memories and view their photos.
